“I know there is strength in the differences between us. I know there is comfort, where we overlap.”
― Ani DiFranco
It’s good that people are different. It’s good that sometimes, we cannot do everything alone. It’s good that sometimes, we have to lower down those walls around us, and engage in conversation with peeps around us.
After all, it would be a drab world, if everyone were to lock themselves up in their individual igloos and refuse to step out.
The Blogbuddy program was designed to bring us out of our online igloos with a simple promise: we would find friends among bloggers. Friends who would give advice, free hugs, loads of cups of Chai in times of website development and crashes, writer’s blocks and curses. We would get to know each other beyond the bios, blog posts and social media updates.
Isn’t this something worth getting out of an igloo for? Oh wait, this and the Aurora Borealis.
Season 1 of Blogbuddy was the beginning, and I would have been proud to say that I signed up for it and stayed till the last drop of champagne was poured out. Unfortunately, I dropped out of it as soon as the cork got popped, because of academics. (“I know, she’s such a wimp and party pooper. But she had her HSC exams! Cut her some slack!”)
Season 2 was the much awaited sequel, and yes, I stayed on till the very end. We had amazing challenges and events wherein we could show team spirit and get things done! If you remember this post, Half Time 2016, you would surely remember the excited frenzy with which we #WizWords scrambled along to get the 2nd position in this Blogbuddy challenge!
Season 3 is at the brink of a beginning, a much much awaited one indeed. It’s bigger, it’s better, it’s Blogchatter! (“Sorry for the cliched rhyme!” )
Let me introduce you to the Blogbuddy group I am a part of. We call ourselves the #Blogtrotters , and our goal is to blogtrot all over the blogosphere. Expect us to burst into your igloo, spread sprinklings of likes, shower comments and share your posts in the coming cold and wintry season. I bet it will keep you and your blogging aspirations warm and alight all through the weather change and woolly climate.
Although it’s only the beginning, I can tell you that I am in the company of some really creative minds. Their energy is so infectious, so alive, so inspiring. I’m sure I will love to blogtrot in their company 🙂
Thrilled to be a part of #Blogbuddy group: #Blogtrotters . Linking my post to the Blogchatter linky here.
