A to Z of Blogging: Take Your Blog To The Next Level #BookReview

Are you someone who loves writing? Do you want to display your work to the world, but have absolutely no clue about it? Do you dream about owning a blog and having a thousand million followers, but can’t seem to decide between Blogger and WordPress? Or are you already a blogger? Do you need a little help and motivation to take your blog one notch higher?

Then, this Kindle eBook by Chicky Kadambari is what you’ve been searching for. A solution for your blogging queries, handed to you by a blogger with 10 years of experience in the Blogosphere.

A-Z of Blogging by Chicky Kadambari

The title A to Z quite literally describes the presentation of the content. The author has managed to stick to 26 chapters and has allocated blogging wisdom as per the 26 letters of the alphabet. (These chapters were originally blog posts for the #AtoZChallenge over at the author’s blog). The posts are not placed in the same sequential order as the doubts in your mind. Yet, you could start from chapter A, and not feel lost at all. Every chapter gets you deeper into the complexities of blogging, and the author guides you on at each step.

Topics covered in this book include the most debated question: WordPress or Blogger? It reveals to you all the pros and cons of having a WP / Blogger blog. It may not seem like an important decision at the beginning of your blogging career. But this question is something that will keep you awake all night even after you’ve started blogging on a particular platform. I can almost see the heads of my blogger buddies nodding in nostalgic memories.

SEO is something that all bloggers talk about. But newbies can’t really figure out all the blogger jargon in these conversations. The author covers both these topics in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. Monetization is another aspect that attracts droves of people to blogging. And she’s got it all explained to you in the ‘M for’ chapter.

Overall, I love the simplicity of this book. The 26 points are discussed in detail, and add a lot of valuable information to your think-tank. And you don’t even realize this! Because the content and its presentation doesn’t seem preachy. The tone and language is friendly, and you can instantly connect and comprehend things that seemed like gobbledygook to you earlier. The head points have been clearly highlighted, and each sub-topic has been explained in a point-format. This makes it faster to read, and easy to refer back to, after you’ve started your blogging journey.

Another highlight is the end of chapter questions. Some of these questions have been framed keeping in mind that the audience are already bloggers. But from a newbie perspective, I feel that these questions will encourage you to do some more extensive research. It will enable you to think like a blogger, and also give you an insight about the questions you need to ask and the answers you need to know. This book doesn’t only impart information to you: It also creates a framework for you to build ideas on.

You can grab this book at Amazon . Being a blogger already, I can assure you that this would be a great investment before you foray into the big world of blogging. I almost wish I could restart my journey, armed with the wonderful tips handed over in this book!
